Meet the Chairman

Elected Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman in 2010, Marilyn Levin has an extensive career in public service. Marilyn will tell you she has held the honor of being mentored by National Civil Rights icon C. DeLores Tucker.
Marilyn is the epitome of “life long Democrat.” Her career began in 1973 when she became the President of the Executive Director of the Women’s Division of the Democraticc State Committee. Since that time period she has been actively involved in the Democratic Party from Young Democrats to running for public office.
Marilyn graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1973. She was executive assistant to Auditor General from 1985-1988 developing and implementing the first work site day care center in state government.
She then worked for the next 18 years at the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
She also was one of 14 people to draft the Democratic National Platform in 1976.
